There is a great story to tell about the advanced design of the Bedbridge™
Bed Support System. The system utilizes strength characteristics of
truss designs developed by architects and engineers. Bedbridge™,
like all truss designs used in construction of buildings and bridges,
is unsurpassed in its weight handling ability.

The Bedbridge™ Bed Support System attaches so securely to a
wood frame that it becomes an integral part of the frame, supporting
the bedding and the sleeper. Special steel attachment ends are built
extra wide and are secured to the side rail with included fasteners.
The support ends will never slip off the side rail or bulge the rail
outward.

“Pre-stressed” means each beam of the Bedbridge™
Bed Support System is slightly curved up in the middle, in anticipation
of the weight of the bedding and the sleeper. The strength of the
beam reaches up to take hold of the load, then stretches out for full
and secure support. This dynamic “stretching out” is countered
by the strength of the spring loaded metal straps, maximizing the
strength of the beam, actually making it stronger as more weight is
applied. The center support leg is held rigidly in place for unyielding
support, even when the bed is moved sideways. |
